Sep 16, 2007 · Educating Archie was a BBC Light Program comedy show broadcast in the early 1950s on Sunday lunchtimes featuring ventriloquist Peter Brough and his dummy Archie Andrews. The program was very successful even though the idea of a ventriloquist and his dummy being on radio seems quite illogical.
Archie creates mayhem with radio ventriloquist Peter Brough, Beryl Reid and Max Bygraves. From 01/03/1959 Brough makes a bet that he and Archie can travel round the British Isles in eight days.
From 30/01/1957. Archie Andrews and mentor Peter Brough buy a farm. With Dick Emery and Deryck Guyler.
