Blackadder Goes Forth is the fourth series of the BBC sitcom Blackadder, written by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton, which aired from 28 September to 2 November 1989 on BBC1.
A British sitcom set in World War I, starring Rowan Atkinson as Captain Edmund Blackadder, a cowardly and sarcastic officer who tries to escape the war. The series features a cast of memorable characters, such as his loyal servant Baldrick, his rival Darling, and the insane General Melchett.

Blackadder Goes Forth shows the daily (?) attempts of Captain Edmund Blackadder to attempt to escape the horrors of World War One. He tries a variety of schemes, involving becoming a chef, becoming a pilot and running a "talent" show, but he never succeeds.
