In an old caravan parked in front of his crumbling estate lives Pompidou - a tubby, pompous, penniless, eccentric, yet lovable aristocrat. He is an elderly oddball who has fallen on hard times.
Down on his luck aristocrat Pompidou lives in a caravan in the grounds of the ancestral pile with his dog Marion and butler Hove. With no food in the fridge Pompidou and Hove go fishing unsuccessfully and egg-hunting, landing in hospital when Hove swallows a bird.
