The University of Makati (UMak) is a public, locally funded university of the local government of Makati founded in 1972, initially as the Makati Polytechnic Community College (MPCC). In 1987, MPCC was renamed Makati College and in 1990, was merged with the Fort Andres Bonifacio College.
