At the very beginning, the Zoom platform used a logo where its domain (“zoom.us”) was written in large dark blue letters, and the motto (“We can see clearly now”) was indicated in small black letters at the bottom. On the left was a dark blue circle with a gradient that contained an image of a white video camera with a blue “Z.”
In 2013, the wordmark was shortened to a brand name. It was characterized by very narrow letter spacing, bubble type, and dark blue. The circle with the camera remained but without the letter “Z.”
The developers took a simple path, depicting the platform name in lowercase without additional elements. The simple and catchy design has become a distinctive feature of the program.
