Dec 4, 2023 · There are three main ways to get to Shifen, by car, by train, or by bus. The bus or train take a similar amount of time but reach Shifen from totally different directions – by train you’ll arrive from the east, but by bus you’ll come from the west.
To travel from Taipei to Shifen, catch a 50-minute train from Taipei Main Station (or Songshan if you’re staying east) to Ruifang Station. This will cost NT$40 TWD. Transfer to the Pingxi Line which goes once hourly to Shifen.
