It's a bit quicker to install since the EXE installer doesn't need to extract the files first. Note. The folder needs to be copied while the following dialog box is open, otherwise it gets deleted.
Jul 18, 2017 · If anyone's interested, I've just deployed the Minecraft Education Edition app to all my Windows devices, using a PowerShell script. No Windows Store etc required, just plain files - notes on this thread. You'll still need O365 accounts for student logins, but the deployment at least is simple (even if the recommended methodology is terrible).

Jul 7, 2022 · 15. We use a combination of removing some built-in win 10 apps during the task sequence with AppLocker to block apps like the feedback one. We also have the Microsoft Store for Education setup which staff can use. The link to the store is only in the start menu as we customise the taskbar to hide it from there.

Jul 11, 2022 · The Epic account thing is annoying. We let students use their own. It’s a shame epic haven’t put the effort in unlike Minecraft for education where Microsoft have built in AAD account use. Fundamentally gaming presumes everyone has local admin and each device is 1:1. We had to make some firewall changes.
May 8, 2019 · The latest issue is the way Microsoft Store apps behave when a user first logs into a device. Specifically, if user1 logs into a device, they must visit the Microsoft Store and download our organisation owned apps. Equally, user2 on the same device must follow the same steps. The apps are installed but not available to users.
