  1. Ernest's character was pure and brave (even when he was scared). His acting had an incredible range and I believe he could have blown away audiences in more serious roles if he has lived longer. Reply reply

  2. This movie scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Edit: and I was/am a fan of Ernest's movies overall, but this movie, I was too young for haha. I am not personally scarred to this day, but holy crap that goblin/troll was frightening at the time hBa, congo, Friday the 13th, and more, yea this movie was equally terrifying at that age also, crapped my pants at that age range.

  3. My favorite part was when Ernest was in the back of the garbage truck debating on whether to put a doll into the gears to stop the compactor, lol. "No,no, Don't stick my head in those gears!" "But it's me or you!" "But I have a family at the doll factory!" Ernest thinks about it for a second or two "I'll send them a nice card!"

  6. Aug 23, 2021 · What I love about Ernest Scared Stupid is how the curse that Trantor the Troll places on the Worrell family helps explain everything that happens in the 10 film Ernest franchise. The reason Ernest is so “dumb” is because his relative Phineas P. Worrell caught and trapped a child killing troll.

  8. May 19, 2017 · Ernest Scared Stupid was the one that broke me. That damn troll traumatized me so much when I was a kid that no other movie has ever affected me the same way again. It's like my brain took all that dread and buried it... under a metaphorical oak tree.

  9. the is my only issue with ernest scared stupid. it was a scary movie for a kid; the others were hilarious, but scared stupid was a scary movie, for a 7 year old. Reply reply More replies JohnnyDarkside

  10. Ernest Goes to Camp, Goes to Jail, Slam Dunk, Scared Stupid, and the extremely underrated Ernest Rides Again are all extremely entertaining. The others you kinda have to be a huge Ernest fan to get much out of. Special shout out to Dr Otto and the Riddle of the Gloombeam.
