Dec 16, 2020 · The OG Home Alone is a Christmas classic. I like Home Alone 2 a little less, but it’s still good. Now we come to Home Alone 3. Directed by Raja Gosnell (the man behind the live-action Scooby-Doo and Smurfs movies) Home Alone 3 has no connection to the previous two entries. There’s no Macaulay Culkin, no Joe Pesci, and no Daniel Stern.
Home Alone 3 should follow the real Macaulay Culkin as himself, home alone one night while An obsessed fan of the home alone movies stalks him. He has to eventually fend for himself in a similar fashion to the first 2 movies. Macaulay Culkin is a grown up Kevin who has become a burglar.
Dec 21, 2022 · The first 2 feels like a Christmas movie with all the family drama. The 3rd falls in that regard. There are good aspects of home alone 3. It's not as quotable or nostalgic as 1 & 2, but I love that Scarlett Johansson is it, the traps (frozen pool) are enjoyable, I like the dumbwaiter, racecar, and igloo features.
TIL there was a Home Alone 3. There's also Home Alone 4, which featured Kevin again, but without any of the original actors. There is also a Home Alone 5. And a sixth one is set to be released next year. and a partridge in a pear tree. That one was already released in 1999 Starring Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment.
Home Alone: 7.7/10 Home Alone 2: 6.8/10 Home Alone 3: 4.5/10. The fact that Rotten Tomatoes has it ranked: Home Alone: 66% Home Alone 2: 35% Home Alone 3: 29%. is absurd. I loved Home Alone 3, I don't get the hate towards it. I liked the terrorist subplot and all the tactility Alex puts towards his investigating.
Marv and Harry finished serving their sentence and have been released. Plotting their revenge in prison, they are ready to finally put it into action. Kevin is married and has children of his own. The family (grandparents, siblings, etc) meets up at Kevin’s childhood home to go on a trip together for the holidays.
Dec 17, 2023 · Alex is notably a little more extreme than Kevin, in some cases and is able to fend off foes who would presumably be far more competent than Marv and Harry- did Alex learn from Kevin? I also noticed their mothers look quite alike (red hair, blue eyes, the genes yk) and they also both live in Chicago.

May 4, 2022 · To my astonishment, I liked the third “Home Alone” movie better than the first two; I'm even going so far as to recommend it, although not to grownups unless they are having a very silly day. This movie follows the exact formula of the first two, but is funnier and gentler, has a real charmer for a hero, and provides splendid wish fulfillment and escapism for kids in, say, the lower grades.
I saw Home Sweet Home Alone last year, and honestly it's worse. Like the kid is so more unlikable and you actually feel bad for the robbers because they're an honest and down on their luck couple who are unnecessarily being attacked, and it also doesn't help that the traps are directed to be more realistic instead of slapsticky so it ACTUALLY looks painful.
