Here is one John ROSS at Raymond Street Sale, a tailor, in 1888. Anyhow, it is clear there was no reunion with Griffith.

I believe that shoemaker was the commonest of all trades, and Horsburgh was a common surname in the East Neuk, but I agree it's tempting to imagine that the Elie and Crail Horsburghs were related. I know of 10 children born to William Horsburgh, shoemaker in Elie, and his wife Mary Bickerton between 1695 and 1720.

  4. Feb 11, 2020 · Charles John Dillon was born in NZ in 1887 and died in 1961. he married Myrtle Perry in 1931 (she was born I think 1897??? in NZ and died in 1939). They had at least 3 children: James Charles Dillon (b. 1932 - d. 1962), Daniel Perry Dillon (b. 1934 - d. 2005).

We are looking for the baptisms/births of their first two children James abt 1825, and Charles abt 1829. The final 3 children were baptised St Margaret's Edgware 1832, 1835, & 1838.

Aug 27, 2024 · James was married to Jane Tillet in 1876 in B.S.E, in 1881 they were living at 2 Mill Lane in B.S.E they had 4 children altogether Charles in 1876, Emma in 1878, John 1881 and William 1883, all born in B.S.E. Jane died in 1886 in B.S.E age 33 and James is named as the widower and informant on the death certificate living at 12 Pelican Court ...

  7. I believe your Charles James Baines was born 28/3/1845 Irlam, Lancashire, son of Thomas Baines and Fanny Higgins (per online tree and aforementioned census). He had 3 brothers and 3 sisters - can account for all 6 of them, and the deaths of Thomas and Fanny but there is no further sign of Charles James Baines after the 1861 census.

James who is Solomon and Benjamin's brother is obviously in Carolina in 1777 when the sale of the property mentioned was happening.

  9. Charles Calfe or Carbis Pascoe was baptized at St Clement, Truro on 21 Sep 1823 son of James and Ann. I have him marrying Eliza Snell at St Clement on 26 Oct 1845 but after that the only references I can find are below. I can find no death for him or Eliza or any children. If anyone can shed any light I would be grateful.

  10. James FLEMING c.1818 Stockton. James Fleming shows in 1851-1891 census as being an Ag.Lab/Farm Lab and being born and lived all his life in Stockton. Haven't found him in 1841 as yet. In Q1.1849 he married Mary Read who was born c.1826 Wylye. Their children Harriet b.1848, Charles 1850 and Josiah 1853 all born Wylye/Stockton.
