    • Victoria and Albert Museum. Paradise for people who love exquisite things, this museum showcases 5,000 years of decorative arts from Europe, North America, Asia and North Africa.
    • Natural History Museum. The second in that trio of world-class museums in South Kensington opened in 1881 and is considered one of the world’s centres of natural history research.
    • Science Museum. A day would never be enough to appreciate the full depth of the Science Museum. In the 300,000 strong collection are epochal machines like Stephenson’s Rocket from 1829, Puffing Billy, the world’s oldest steam locomotive, and an operating example of Charles Babbage’s Difference Engine.
    • Holland Park. For many people Holland Park (also the name of the surrounding area) is the greatest of London’s green spaces. In 55.5 acres it’s the largest park in the borough, on the estate of the ruined Jacobean Holland House, which once welcomed the likes of Lord Byron and Benjamin Disraeli.
    • Kensington High Street Shop along Kensington High Street. Kensington High Street is great for shopping and there is something for everyone! There are lots of high street stores as well as designer stores and independent shops and what I love most is that they are all located in the old and beautiful buildings that line Kensington High Street.
    • Kensington Gardens Wander around Kensington Gardens. Hyde Park covers a huge section of Central London but the Western section is actually Kensington Gardens and in my opinion this is the nicest part of the park.
    • Colourful Houses of Notting Hill Spot pretty pastel streets all over Notting Hill. An Insta-dream, Notting Hill is home to several quiet streets teeming with pretty pastel houses that run in multicolour terraces.
    • The Churchill Arms Snap London’s most flowery pub at The Churchill Arms. Many simply stop by to check out the impressive flower display that covers the exterior.
    • Museums in South Kensington. South Kensington is home to 3 world-famous museums, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the V&A all sit within a few meters of each other and are as iconic and interesting from the outside as they are from inside.
    • Hyde Park. After you’ve finished at the museums walk North up Exhibition Road in the direction of Hyde Park, this street is a good example of the wide streets of Kensington with even bigger houses lining them.
    • Kensington Palace. Take a slow walk Hyde Park and the Kensington Gardens end but be sure to end at Kensington Palace which has been a palace since 1689!
    • Notting Hill. From here, head North West out of Hyde Park towards Notting Hill Gate Underground Station. You may not expect Notting Hill to be on this list of things to do in Kensington but Notting Hill is part of the Kensington Borough!
