Scroll to the bottom and click the download button in the "Set up remote access" section. Once you set this up on your dad's computer, on your computer, you will go to Chrome Remote Desktop and you'll see his computer.

In the same Chrome Remote Desktop page, in the section "My Computers", you'll see the computer you just added. Click on it, enter the code (possibly checking the checkbox to avoid entering the password again at the next connection)
Aug 22, 2022 · What did work was when I went to control panel - Device Manager - Display adapters then Right Clicked and selected 'Disable Device' for my display adapter. This allowed me to use Chrome Remote Desktop with the lid closed. I have a Dell Latitude 5520. Wow! I can confirm this works like magic.
