Aug 6, 2018 · Dawn of the Dead 2004 was always one of my favorite zombie movies. I don't know what it is, but they really hit the nail on the head with getting the feeling of society falling apart. It reminds me of the first season of Walking Dead. I think it was implied that they all died at the end. The island was over run and they were on the dock.

The zombies never felt like a serious threat. It was up to your imagination to go the extra mile. They were slow, stupid, and most of the time, don't even try to bite you even if they grabbed you. I could could up to 10 or 15 times where the zombies could have successfully bit a protagonist but didn't.
Recently re-watched Dawn of the Dead (2004) - Definitely one of the best horror movies of the decade. Before Zach Snyder became Zach Snyder, and before zombies became a shitty, rehashed "cultural phenomenon" over the last ~8 years, this movie rocked the house. I still think 28 Days Later takes the crown for the best modern 'apocalypse' film ...
Dec 27, 2021 · Because Richard P. Rubinstein, who owns the film rights, has sunk millions of dollars into a 3D conversion that nobody asked for or wants. So he’s basically holding Dawn of the Dead hostage until someone also agrees to distribute his dumb 3D conversion. If you want it in 4K there’s a box set released by Second Sight in the UK.
Jun 3, 2022 · Land Of The Dead is supposed to be set in downtown Pittsburgh which is excellent odds for them (assuming this is all in the same timeline) because Monroeville, Pa where the mall is located is 14 miles away, that chopper has a top speed of 120 mph (looked up the model lol) so if there were any type of survivors there like they would only have to stay airborne for about 10-15 min.
We’re talking about a disease where actual corpses get back up and start killing. Fatal wounds, such as a torn out throat as seen in the beginning of the film, just ignored despite the biological requirement for blood to transport energy. 28 Days Later had massively extended lifespan super rabies, Dawn of the Dead 2004 had standard magic zombies.
Aug 6, 2021 · James Gunn wrote the Script, and he ends up a much better director. The introduction of running zombies in this and 28 Days Later changed the zombie game. First time I was legit scared of zombies in a movie. Return of the living dead introduced fast zombies many years before. Just need people I can run faster than.
May 10, 2021 · Every single cut in 4k, the novelisation, special features, and all the soundtrack CDs. It's just incredible as a release and is now the definitive Dawn of the Dead edition. It's a masterpiece. There's not much to be said about it that hasn't already been said here.
