May 26, 2019 · Jimmy was taken in by H.R. Pufnstuf, who was able to protect him from Witchiepoo, as the cave where he lived was the only place her magic had no effect. Apart from Jimmy and Witchiepoo, all of the characters on Living Island were realized via large cumbersome costumes or puppetry of either anthropomorphic animals or objects.
Jimmy ( Jack Wild ), a young boy with a British accent and a speech impediment, is abducted by the sinister and disturbingly Oedipal witch Wilhelmina W. Witchiepoo (Billie Hayes) in a gambit to snatch his magical talking golden flute.
Fortunately Jimmy is rescued by the island's mayor, a six foot dragon named H.R. Pufnstuf. After Jimmy is rescued by Pufnstuf and his two deputies, Kling and Klang, his adventures begin as well as his attempts to get back home. — Brian Washington <Sargebri@att.net>.
Jimmy is a young English boy and one of the main protagonists of H.R. Pufnstuf. He is the owner and good friend of Freddy, the magical talking flute, and because of this he was abducted by the evil Witchiepoo and taken to Living Island in order to steal Freddy from him.
