To apply for a Student’s Pass, you must be accepted into an approved full-time course in Singapore. Part-time courses and courses conducted in the evening or on weekends are not eligible.

Since Jan 2003, SIR has implemented a new system known as the Student's Pass On-Line Application and Registration (SOLAR) System. The system makes it easier for foreign students to apply for a Student's Pass (STP) by allowing them to do so on-line.
If you accept our offer of admission, the University will apply for the Student’s Pass on your behalf via the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) SOLAR system. ICA will only issue one Student’s Pass to a student at any one time.

Access ICA's SOLAR system. Select "View Application Status" Upload duly completed medical examination report (if applicable or for course duration more than 6 months) & terms and condition of Student's Pass. Submit COF documents for ICA's processing.
Your Student Pass (STP) needs to be cancelled online and student can perform self-cancellation via https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/solar/index.xhtml, select “Cancellation of Student’s Pass”. Student will be able to retrieve the status of cancellation via ICA portal the next day.
