The Outsider is an American psychological thriller - horror crime drama television series based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Stephen King, adapted for television by Richard Price. It was ordered to series on December 3, 2018, [1] after being optioned as a miniseries by MRC in June 2018. [2] . It premiered on HBO on January 12, 2020. [3] .
When an insidious supernatural force edges its way into a seemingly straightforward investigation into the gruesome murder of a young boy, it leads a seasoned cop and an unorthodox investigator to question everything they believe in.
