    Remscheid (German pronunciation: [ˈʁɛmʃaɪt] ⓘ) is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is, after Wuppertal and Solingen , the third-largest municipality in Bergisches Land , being located on the northern edge of the region, on the south side of the Ruhr area.
