Takahashi is a small castle town in the mountains of Okayama Prefecture. It is often referred to as Bitchu Takahashi after the former province name of Bitchu to distinguish it from other towns and cities called Takahashi. It could easily be visited on a day trip from Okayama, but actually has enough to see and do for an overnight trip.
