Joining our Senior School. In September 2025, we hope to welcome approximately 80 children (boys and girls) to our Year 7. They will join around 105 Junior School pupils, moving from Year 6 into our Senior School. Below we have outlined the admissions process step by step.

At Highgate, we have four standard entry points for pupils seeking to join the School: Reception (age 4+), Year 3 (age 7+), Year 7 (age 11+) and the Sixth Form (age 16+). In addition, we can sometimes offer “occasional places” into selected other year groups, depending on pupil numbers.

Highgate offers three schools in one: Our Pre-Preparatory School is for pupils aged 4-7 (Reception, Years 1 and 2). We have around 180 pupils based at our Bishopswood Road building, overlooking our sports grounds. Our Junior School is for pupils aged 7-11 (Years 3 to 6).
