Sep 10, 2011 · Ironically, 'Michelle Jones' Watson being mixed race is insignificant compared to pretty much every other way she's different from Mary Jane Watson. NWH though seems to treat 'MJ' as basically code for the one, true love of Peter's life - for Tobey's Peter its Mary Jane, for Tom's Peter its Michelle, and for Andrew's Peter its Gwen.
Aug 8, 2024 · And ironically, if we go out there, she feels more like a person than the guy that was duped into becoming an accessory for genocide and then hooking up with Mary Jane Watson. We've seen Shay do her job, so we know what she does, she has a sense of humor, she doesn't like being taken for granted, so she gets upset when Peter's Spider-Man duties get in the way.

Aug 21, 2024 · In Web of Spider-Man, the core subplots would focus on Mary Jane Watson's career as a model (Leaving Paul and being single again) and reconnecting with characters like Flash Thompson and Liz Allen while also connecting with Peter from time to time. All of these subplots can be more easily managed in three separate titles versus one ongoing title.
