But, you could use ExportPDF to convert your PDF file to Word format, and then do your character count in Word. Please let us know if you need additional assistance.

That said, is there a way to change the character count of a text form field of a document I did not create?
Feb 1, 2017 · A character count limit is easily applied. There's a built-in property that does that for you under the field's Properties, Options tab. A word count limit is more complicated and will require a custom-made keystroke script.
