Booking paper-based Music Theory exams. Use our online service to book these exams – click Login/Register at the top of the page to get started. Digital exams are available on demand – there are no booking periods or set exam dates, so you can book and take exams at a time that suits you.
How to create your ABRSM account. Before you book exams, you will need to register and create an ABRSM account. You must be aged 18 or over to book exams. Candidates of any age can also have accounts and must have one to take an online Music Theory exam.

We assess Music Theory at Grades 1 to 5 through an online exam. Exams are available on-demand. There are no booking periods or set dates so you can choose when to book and when and where to take your exam. From the date of booking you have 28 days to log in to your ABRSM account and take your exam.
