The group currently consists of founder Grace Chatto and brothers Jack and Luke Patterson. Jack Patterson is the principal songwriter and has been awarded two Ivor Novellos for the writing of " Rather Be ".
The band met while studying at Cambridge University, and comprises the Patterson brothers Jack (producer and multi-instrumentalist), Luke (a drummer/remixer), and Grace Chatto, a classically trained cellist. In between studying Russian she and the brothers ran a club night that saw Joy Orbison and James Blake make early appearances.
