Oct 28, 2012 · Prior approval from HDB is required. You may apply online. You must also notify HDB of tenancy terminations, subsequent renewals, and changes to your tenants’ particulars within seven days of these changes.
1. Subletting Your Flat During the MOP. HDB owners would be familiar with the Minimum Occupation Period (MOP), which is basically the period of time a landlord must occupy an HDB flat before selling/renting it. The MOP for an HDB flat is five years in most cases.
This e-Service is only for flats rented directly from HDB. For open market rentals, please refer to Change of Tenant (Renting Out of Flat) instead.
Log in to the customer service portal to submit your subletting renewal application. You can do so 6 months before your subletting term expires. We will inform you of the outcome of your application through the customer service portal, SMS and email within 7 working days of your submission.
