As part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to uplift the preschool sector, the Ministry of Education (MOE) set up the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) in 2019 – that’s us!
NIEC offers early childhood courses for those seeking to obtain relevant early childhood certificates, diplomas, post-diplomas or continuing professional development (CPD). Due to scheduled maintenance, our student application portal will be unavailable from 28 Jun (Fri), 10pm to 29 Jun (Sat), 7am.
NIEC is the national training institute set up by the Ministry of Education to deliver quality training to Singapore’s early childhood educators at different stages of their career. Our Courses All Courses
Experience 300 hours of practicums at an ECDA-registered preschool to apply what you have learnt from the course. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be conferred the DECCE-T (Conversion) by NIEC. Graduates will be eligible for L2 certification* by ECDA.
Learn relevant approaches. Learn the approaches to early childhood education that will help you provide an interactive and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be conferred the ACECCE by NIEC.
Mon to Fri: 9am – 4pm. Alternatively, request for a face-to-face course consultation with our Admissions team (available every Thursday between 10am to 4pm, excluding lunch hour 12pm to 1pm at our NIEC (City) Campus) by completing this e-form . For enquiries, you may call any of the numbers below.
