Accolades she has received include two Primetime Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Izzy Huffstodt on Huff (2004–2006), and a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress for her performance in Butterflies Are Free on Broadway (1969–1972).

The "Meet the Parents" star recently shared with People that she is "lucky to be alive" after being diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma. "It's a sneaky disease," Danner said. "But I'm fine and dandy now."
The actress, 79, shares how she coped with the same disease that killed her husband Bruce Paltrow. She also talks about her daughter Gwyneth Paltrow's reaction and her grief over losing her spouse.
