Grace Lodge (Nursing Home) Grace Lodge was set up by the late Venerable Yen Pei in January 1985 and officially opened on 16 March 1986 by the late Mr. Ong Teng Cheong, the Second Deputy Prime Minister then. Being a charitable home, Grace Lodge is solely dependent on public donations.
Grace Lodge provides shelter and care for elderly persons who are needy and sick, regardless of race, religion or gender. Our comfortable and spacious facilities provide a quality living environment for residents, who are given personalised care, as well as accorded dignity, compassion and respect.
Grace Lodge offers female residents direct access to our facilities and nursing care round the clock. Our team of professional nursing staff and caregivers is committed to providing quality care for our Ah Mahs. In addition, Grace Lodge also provides: Medical services. Occupational therapy.
DEMENTIA WARD (FEMALE) The Dementia Ward is designed to accommodate the individual needs of dementia residents for maintaining their dignity and self-esteem. Our specially trained staff inculcate a culture of caring, as residents learn to live with dementia.
It is our objective to provide shelter and care for needy elderly, regardless of race or religion. Most of the elderly residents have nobody to look after them and they are unable to take care of themselves.
GRACE LODGE FOUNDER. The late Venerable Yen Pei (1917-1996) was a learned Buddhist scholar, who was well versed in Sutra (Buddhist discourses), Vinaya (Buddhist discipline) and Abhidharma (higher doctrines of Buddhism). He was reputed as a “Master of the Tripitaka (Buddhist Canon)”.
