Woodstock is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States, in the northern part of the county, northwest of Kingston. It lies within the borders of the Catskill Park. The population was 6,287 at the 2020 census, up from 5,884 in 2010.

Tinker Street, Mill Hill Road, and the other streets that offshoot Woodstock’s heart at Village Green make for a wonderfully walkable stretch lined with colorful and quirky mom-and-pop boutiques hawking everything from the requisite tie-dyes and New Age-y crystals to Tibetan crafts and women’s fashions.

- Hit the Trails in Catskill Park. Woodstock sits at the heart of 700,000 acres of wilderness. The Catskill Park, otherwise known as the Catskill Forest Preserve, is a New York State Park that spans four counties in the state.

- Stroll along Tinker Street. Speaking of Tinker Street, this is the main artery that runs right through the center of Woodstock's charming main town. On either side, visitors will find galleries; shopping; restaurants; and architectural remnants of Woodstock's centuries-old past, like the Woodstock Reformed Church, which is from the mid-19th century.
Dec 19, 2023 · Welcome to Woodstock NY, a bohemian artsy town located in the Catskill Mountains just two hours away from NYC. This small town is a must-see when in New York State. I spent a weekend in Woodstock and was completely transported to a unique town with adorable shops, great food, and a little adventure with the nearby hiking trails.
