Chelan (/ ʃ ə ˈ l æ n / shə-LAN) is a city in Chelan County, Washington, United States. The estimated population was 4,222 at the 2020 census. It lies on the southeast tip of Lake Chelan, where the lake flows into the Chelan River. Chelan is part of the Wenatchee−East Wenatchee Metropolitan Statistical Area.

- Boating on Lake Chelan. My absolute favorite summertime activity is boating. If you own a boat, tow it over the pass for your trip. There are convenient boat launches on the river, at the downtown marina, and in Manson.
- Rent Jet Skis. If you want to get on the lake, but are not interested in renting a boat, Jet Skis are a great option. You can rent them from the same locations as the boats: Chelan Parasail and Shoreline Watercraft.
- Lake Chelan Parasailing. If you know anything about me, you know I love a good adventure. The best adventure in Chelan, in my opinion, is parasailing. For those you haven’t done it before, parasailing is being towed behind a boat with a large parachute, so you are 50+ feet in the air.
- Hike the Lake Chelan Butte. Another great way to get panoramic views of the lake is by hiking the Lake Chelan Butte. This 8-mile out and back hike will bring you up into the Chelan hills and reward you with stunning views.

Lake Chelan is a 53 mile long naturally glacier-carved lake that is the third deepest in the United States. The Chelan river which flows out of the lake was dammed in the 1920's and raised the level of the lake and extended the length of the lake by a mile, but in summer and fall can leave the lake looking emaciated like an artificial reservoir.
