Nikopol (Ukrainian: Нікополь, pronounced [ˈn⁽ʲ⁾ikopolʲ] ⓘ) is a city and municipality in Nikopol Raion in the south of Ukraine, on the right bank of the Dnieper River, about 63 km south-east of Kryvyi Rih and 48 km south-west of Zaporizhzhia. Population: 105.160 (2022 estimate).

Nikopol, city, south-central Ukraine. It lies along the northern shore of the Kakhovka Reservoir on the Dnieper River and on the Zaporizhzhya–Kryvyy Rih railway. Founded as Nikitin Rog (Ukrainian: Mykytyn Rih) in the 1630s at a strategic crossing of the river, it was renamed Nikopol in 1782.
