Gosforth is an area of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, situated north of the City Centre. It constituted a separate urban district of Northumberland from 1895 until 1974 before officially merging with the city of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Gosforth is a village, civil parish and electoral ward in the Lake District, in Cumberland in Cumbria, England. Historically in Cumberland, it is situated on the A595 road between Whitehaven and Barrow-in-Furness. It had a population of 1,230 at the 2001 Census.
Gosforth is situated between the sea at Seascale and the valleys, with easy access from the main A595 coastal road which runs from Workington to Barrow. There is plenty of free parking on the village car park alongside the main shopping area. The Gosforth Cross.
