We came to the conclusion that a neutral/comprehensive word like "guys", exclusive for twenty-something year old male persons, doesn't actually exist in German. He said, if you want to speak in an informal way the best choice would be "Jungs" (for plural usage) and "Kerl" (for singular usage).
