Mark is a Solo Artist, Songwriter, and Producer, as well as Co-Founder / Original Lead Singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders from its inception through January 1975. His voice is heard on all of the Raiders' 16 Top 20 hits, including many which have earned Gold and Platinum Awards.
The original lead singer and co-founder of Paul Revere & the Raiders, Mark Lindsay was born in Oregon but raised in Idaho, where he began his career as the rockabilly singer in Freddy Chapman's Idaho Playboys. His bandmates were the guitar-playing brothers Dick and "Mooney" White.
Rock and roll was my passion, even though I was a rockabilly singer in a country band at the time. Through a complicated set of circumstances, the guys in Red’s band quit, and formed a new band with me as the singer. Revere, who was 20, became my best friend.
