Once nicknamed ‘the loneliest village in London’, Neasden is now a characterless suburb sliced in two by the North Circular Road and separated from Wembley by the River Brent.
Located in the London Borough of Brent, Neasden is a heavily populated, primarily due to the excellent transport links that serve the area. The railway was a big changing factor in Neasden and during the early 20th century many houses were built to house the increasing number of railway workers.

Neasden History. Neasden is a hamlet, 1 mile north-west: the Midland and south Western Junction railway passes through here and has a station at Dudding Hill; there is another station called “Kingsbury and Neasden,” on the Metropolitan extension railway.
