New Iberia (French: La Nouvelle-Ibérie; Spanish: Nueva Iberia) is the largest city in and parish seat of Iberia Parish in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The city of New Iberia is located approximately 21 miles (34 kilometers) southeast of Lafayette, and forms part of the Lafayette metropolitan statistical area in the region of Acadiana.

- TABASCO Experience. Rising from the low-lying landscape of bayous southwest of New Iberia is Avery Island, a salt dome covering 2,200 acres and measuring 2.5 miles across at its widest point.
- Jungle Gardens. A visit to the TABASCO factory also includes this stunning botanical and bird sanctuary, created by the founder’s son, Edward Avery McIlhenny (1872-1949) and opened to the public in 1935.
- Downtown New Iberia. With dozens of buildings labeled with plaques, Downtown Iberia is home to two districts on the National Register of Historic Places.
- Shadows-on-the-Teche. Remarkably, there’s a former working sugarcane plantation with a Greek Revival house backing onto Bayou Teche downtown. Shadows-on-the-Teche dates to 1834 and was founded by wealthy sugar planter David Weeks (1786-1834), remaining in the same family for four generations.
- Shadows-on-the-Teche. Nestled on the banks of Bayou Teche in the Main Street District, the Shadow-on-the-Teche was an antebellum home of the Union soldiers before the Civil War broke out.
- New Iberia City Park. Parks abound in New Iberia—14 of them are scattered along the city streets which are all managed by the New Iberia Park and Recreation Department.
- Bayou Teche Museum. Bayou Teche Museum is limited as it does not open on Sundays through Wednesdays so please be sure to take note of that to avoid wasting your time.
- Conrad Rice Museum. Editor's Note: There's no photo available at the time of writing. Operating since 1912, the Conrad Rice Mill has become a major business in the entire state of Louisiana.
