Born Alexander Lukasz Jogalla, he is the son of Lukasz Jogalla – a cinematographer – and Magdalena Deskur. Of Polish ancestry, Pico’s grandfather is actor Jerzy Jogalla, while journalist Jerzy Turowicz was his great-grandfather. He grew up in Park Slope, Brooklyn and went to Fiorello H.
