Jul 22, 2020 · Report abuse. I have the sidewinder force feedback 2 joystick part number X08-58736 you can get the Y and Z axis to work. But i couldnt get the x axis (increase / decrease throttle). I would of thought this product would of been supoorted due to it being officially a microsoft product. Yeah its old but it still works!

Also not sure if other models (Pro, etc) will work as intended. But the Sidewinder Precision 2 is a sure bet to work good (I have one - for 10 yrs - it works like new.)
Feb 4, 2022 · I recently bought an old Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick for a mere $12 since it had a broken trigger button. Luckily I am reasonable with a soldering iron, so I ordered a replacement switch and now it's fixed. I also cleaned the running gear and lubricated the gearboxes with caliper grease.
