A souvenir is something to remember a place with, for example if you visit Canada you could get a t-shirt with a maple leaf on it as a souvenir.

I am not sure which form of "souvenir" is correct in this sentence. My friend, who is a non-native English speaker, said that the singular form of "souvenir" is correct. Please explain it.

If the "something" in question is a pronoun (I remember it, I remember them, etc.), it should be en in French (Je m'en souviens), because complements introduced by de are referred to with the pronoun en.

Bonjour, je suis totalement bloquée sur l'expression de "se rappeler au souvenir de quelqu'un" qui signifie "faire en sorte que quelqu'un se souvienne de nous". Je traduirais bien cette expression par celle-ci très laide et pas du tout utilisée: "to make someone remember about you".
