May 4, 2011 · fyi, SPC and Caltex get their petrol from the same refinery (SRC) on jurong island. i've been using SPC for past 3 cars of which 2 are turbo-charged and heavily. SPC 98 has consistently gives the best performance in terms of power output during tuning and is the most resistant again engine knocking.
Aug 16, 2021 · August 16, 2021. I switched to Sinopec from SPC (both 95) some months ago since BT kiosk has permanent 23% discount. Mileage improved (I can't believe myself from 7.5 to 8 plus km/l, cannot be so much, maybe the new brand engine oil helps too) and engine feels a little more powerful. Go try for yourself. 4.
Dec 4, 2006 · I noticed for each bar on the fuel gauge (vios uses digital fuel gauge with total 8 bars), SPC can travel around 90-110 km average... whereas for Shell, each bar gave me 70-80 km only... So much for the excellent mileage claim from shell... all a load of BS it seems. Think I'll monitor a few more tanks to verify the results.
Nov 11, 2010 · Wondering is there a difference in power when pump SPC petrol vs Shell? Reason for asking is because, recently I pump SPC cos of its great discount but after pumping, i realised there is a drop in power. My car become sluggish. Not sure if is my wrong or there is really a difference between this 2 petrol. Note : All along i am pumping Shell. Thanks
May 4, 2011 · I got this SPC 50 years celebration card with 40% discount on selected Philips products. I almost threw away the card as I didn't think I will make use of it. Coincidentally, my mum's Philips rice cook is spoil today (after using for 11 years), so the discount card is really handy when I order a new one online!

May 18, 2012 · Perhaps they want to avoid any miscommunication with the multi-lingual environment here. The different brands petrol any quarrel within the fuel tank. Otherwise the petrol may form their own GRC in the long term (just a joke). I believe many of us aware that the petroluem companies do buy from each other the petrol we buy from them, later.
Jan 10, 2004 · Hey guys. Maybe its better to compare in the three categories, since the price is different as well and the performance too. 1. Ron95. 2. Ron98. 3. Premium petrol. I pump Ron98 only, Vpower evaporates too quickly for my liking though the power is good.
