The NEWater process recycles our treated used water into ultra-clean, high-grade reclaimed water, cushioning our water supply against dry weather and moving Singapore towards water sustainability. There are currently 4 NEWater plants in operation.
The drinking water standards set out under the EPH Regulations were based on the WHO Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality. PUB makes continuous effort to maintain drinking water quality at the highest possible level. Our tap water is monitored continuously throughout the year.
Singapore’s tap water quality is well within the Singapore Environmental Public Health (Water Suitable for Drinking) (No.2) Regulations 2019 and World Health Organisation (WHO) Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality.
