Limerick (/ ˈ l ɪ m ər ɪ k / LIM-ər-ik; [5] Irish: Luimneach [ˈl̪ˠɪmʲ(ə)nʲəx]) is a city in western Ireland, in County Limerick. It is in the province of Munster and is in the Mid-West which comprises part of the Southern Region.
Limerick is a city full of little “wows”. First off, there’s its location – right on the grey-blue gush of the River Shannon. Then, there’s its history: from brutal sieges in the 17th century to the grand Georgian era of the 18th century, all of which is written into the town’s streetscapes.
