Sep 23, 2024 · There are many cases like this where the WTA 1000 Mandatory events are grouped with WTA 500 events throughout the rulebook, which wouldn't make sense if they were the "bigger" subset of WTA 1000s like the WTA Premier Mandatory events used to be. I do find the rulebook lacking in clarity though.
