Zou is short, has a lot going on and is absolutely important to the story. I can’t understand how someone would suffer through the drawn-out Dressrosa fights between Kelly Funk, Jeet, Gilly, Lao G and Dellinger but then considers skipping Zou. That’s like skipping Loguetown, Jaya or the Reverie.

We know that, because around that time, Zunesha was punished to walk the seas for eternity and according to Miyagi (the goat mink) she is walking towards something.
Dec 29, 2021 · I highly recommend watching Zou. It's a fairly short arc, and, as others have pointed out, it's full of lore and sets up Wano and Whole Cake Island. On top of that, it has its own story that gets resolved beautifully. Plus, the island itself and Mink culture are really interesting. Next to Whole Cake Island, it's my favorite arc post-time skip.

Jul 31, 2021 · For the first half of zou I thought it was a good arc, but I wasn’t crazy about it. After the second half of Zou, it became the 5th best one piece arc in my book (1: Dressrosa, 2: Marineford, 3:Ennies lobby, 4: Sabaody, 5: Zou) I haven’t watched WCI nor wano yet. But once the minks were revealed to be actually protecting raizo, my jaw dropped.
Nov 20, 2022 · Imo Zou is actually a pretty fun little arc all things considered, and it does a very good job setting lore and introducing the next arc. Just grin and bear it, it isn't that bad in the long run and you'll be glad you didn't skip it
Mar 31, 2016 · Zou was great. It had unique story telling, was remarkably unpredictable, and overall paced incredibly well. Zou set so much of the story in motion—it's the perfect wrap up to the first saga in the New World! Looking at the Punk Hazard-Dressrosa-Zou as a whole makes PH and Dressrosa much better in hindsight.
Sep 10, 2023 · Law’s crew was already on Zou, so he knew they could hide out there. Speaking of Law, he’s with them because they met up on Punk Hazard, where the kidnapped Caesar Clown to use him as a bargaining chip against Doflamingo and Kaido. Caesar made SAD which was used to produce artificial devil fruits produced on Dressrosa.
