In 1972, the group recorded and released their debut album Lonesome Crow, with Lothar Heimberg on bass and Wolfgang Dziony on drums and re-recorded versions of their CCA songs. [13] During the Lonesome Crow tour, the Scorpions opened for up-and-coming British band UFO.
He was the bassist for German hard rock group Scorpions from 1967 to 1973. He only played on one record Lonesome Crow. He also played bass with Serene from 1978-1982.
In late, 1969 Hegner and Worobiec also left. After that, the group settled on a lineup which included lead vocalist Klaus Meine, lead guitarist Michael Schenker (Rudolf's younger brother), bass-guitarist Lothar Heimberg and drummer Wolfgang Dziony.
