  1. Apr 22, 2012 · Apr 22, 2012. #3. Sound shift is right of course, but that doesn't mean that it's impossible to find "in a sunny day" (although it would be rare and far fetched, I admit). E.g.: "Also in a sunny day there are only 24 hours". P.

  3. Jun 24, 2011 · English - USA. Jun 24, 2011. #7. Perseas said: It was a bright beautiful sunny day. My suggestion: why not consider the underlined part as a notional unit, which is defined by "bright" ? I think we could. Every English teacher I've ever known would mark this wrong. At the least, there needs to be a comma between "bright" and "beautiful."

  4. Jul 2, 2018 · Jul 2, 2018. #1. Good evening everyone! I'm doubtful about making the correct choice between the following phrases: 1) I hope the weather will be sunny when I'll be in Budapest. 2) I hope the weather is sunny when I'm in Budapest. 3) I hope the weather will be sunny when I'm in Budapest. I have to admit that I'm having difficulties to choose ...

  5. Apr 27, 2017 · As I gave in my sample sentence, if you want to use "weather" you have to omit the dummy "it" that already stands for the state of the weather. "We're having sunny weather today." You could, however, say: "What a lovely sunny day!" Think of "shiny" to mean "reflecting light to that point that it appears to be a light source itself."

  10. Oct 24, 2017 · First of all, the normal grammar does require the preposition, but in these lyrics, the wording is poetic. When it's over, so they say. It'll rain a sunny day. I know, shining down like water. The singer is saying that once the storm is over (cuando termine la tormenta), the sunshine will fall from the sky like rain.
