Twenty-something François collects bottles and resells them to shopkeepers. After kidnapping a young girl named Mado François takes her to live with him in the attic of his parents’ home. Despite the circumstances, an increasingly comforting relationship evolves.
Twenty-year old misfit François earns his living by gathering boxes and bottles to resell to local shopkeepers. He lives with his grossly insensitive mother and stepfather. Mado is a gawky 11-year old, who is neglected by her family because of the oddness of the way she expresses her affection.
Then you realize that Francois kidnapped her just because he needs company. After a while Mado becomes his sister, his daughter, his wife, his friend, etc. They sleep and eat together and develop a love & hate relationship (oh, they sleep together but clothed so don't think bad).
