Aug 15, 2024 · Definitely a memory leak issue with WoW since the patch on 14/08. I have 32gb with 20gb assigned as virtual memory and while the game hasn’t got to the point of crashing, it is spamming my event viewer with thousands and thousands of Resource-Exhaustion-Detector events, citing WoW as a big consumer of memory.
Sep 1, 2019 · From within the Blizzard app, select WOW from the list on the left. Go to Options > Game Settings. Scroll down to the World of Warcraft section. Tick the option Additional command line arguments. Enter -d3d11 then select Done to save this. I hope that helps, but if not please get in touch via a new thread or a support ticket!

I’m not logged in atm but I’m pretty sure I used “Moveanything” addon to get rid of it. It’s under “npctalkinghead” or some variation of “talkinghead”. IIRC lol I’ll log shortly to be sure.
