Mar 31, 2010 · It was the free Kaspersky av that tempted me. I currently use either sandboxie or firefox with adblock plus, noscript, and wot, etc, and mbam, sas free so not worth trying it. I am currently trying a 1 year license of adaware plus (it was free!), but may go back to avast or mse eventually. I was just curious, in case I was missing something.

Nov 15, 2008 · 15 November 2008 at 4:26PM. I would recommend Avast. I use it on 5 of my PC's/Laptops and have for quite some time. I wouldn't touch AVG if you are running Vista and have Parental Controls turned on as I could never get it to download virus definitions automatically.

I am using Bitdefender free and find that it is way too slow (it takes a good 2 hours to scan my 1Tb SSD) What is the current best free antivirus that is faster than Bitdefender ?

K9 parental controls free if needed, nothing if not. will cover all the main things as before for nothing. Drop a brand challenge. on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save. 10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month.

Nov 16, 2008 · Alwil software's Avast! 4 is free for non-commercial users and offers regular updates, as well as proper technical support via e-mail or phone. Protection-wise it's very similar to AVG, covering all the same bases and not hogging system resources, but it has a funkier interface (for those who like a pinch of fashion with their computer security).
