Battle for Terra came out 2 years before Avatar. Avatar was apparently in the works for over a decade, so it's unlikely either movie had much to say about the other. I saw it playing on the premium movie channels, turned to it, and peaced out after seeing the animation for a moment. This did persuade me to go find it and watch it again.
Critics reviews. In this Suspense thriller, the viewer is sent into the future to a desert island in the North of Russia. It is on this deserted island that serial killers from different countries have been banished and are doomed to face the fierce struggle for survival.
