Aug 16, 2018 · Catskill Park has many treasures; this mountain is one of the few 3500 foot peaks that can be climbed on a loop trail. Allow five to six hours of strenuous hiking and climbing, and there is really only one incredible view.
In Greene County, the Catskill park offers five of the 10 highest peaks, backcountry and family-friendly campgrounds, incredible winter hiking and ice-fishing, as well as Nordic ski and snowshoe trails, and wildlife viewing.
Rolling hills, forested mountains, ponds, streams and historic sites can all be found within the Catskill Park. Some of the Catskill campgrounds are open in the spring for early fishing and camping, and in the fall for hunting and autumn foliage viewing.
